Was on a night out New Year’s Eve 2009.
Like lots of young people he was having a good time and enjoying himself, but he had an accident, fell and banged his head on a kerb.
He was taken to the local hospital, they sent him home and within hours he was back having suffered a massive Grand Mal seizure. Niall spent the next 6 months in a coma at Hope Hospital Salford and now lives with permanent brain injury.
He recently joined his mum Theresa and spoke to over 50 social workers in Rochdale about how his life has changed and what he wants for the future.
They found it an ‘eye-opener’.
